Hess Cooperage - Madison, Wisconsin 1904 - 1966

Note: This presentation features detailed information on white oak barrel making, cooperage tools, and the importance of the Hess Cooperage. It was one of 5 remaining cooperages after prohibition ended in 1933 and produced barrels until 1966 when Hess and Fauerbach both closed their family businesses.
